ME555: Virtual Reality Research
Through this class, a partner and I designed and developed a research project to understand the effects of virtual reality on memory performance. The goal of this research was to determine whether interaction capabilities with 3D models within a VR environment improve memorization-based tasks, to further understand the usage of VR in an educational context.
My partner and I worked on the following:
Design of the experiment, research procedure, and data collection methods.
IRB approval procedure for testing with human subjects.
Application development using Unity and the HTC Vive to run the experiment.
Conducting the experiment with 24 human subjects.
The full details of this research project can be found in the final manuscript.
