Designer. Explorer. Coffee Enthusiast.
Hello! I'm Shreya, a 19 year-old aspiring interaction and visual designer majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Visual Arts at Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering in Durham, NC. I was born in India, but was raised in the US, Russia, Vietnam, Singapore and the Philippines.
My passions include self-discovery, yoga/well-being, and a love for aesthetics. Living in so many places has given me the opportunity to push my boundaries, be curious, take chances, and learn how to adapt to change. Being a student at Duke has inspired me to learn for the sake of learning, to follow my passions, and to have an open mind.
Driven by my fascination with the intersection of art, engineering, and technology, I developed a deep interest in design. Captivated by the ability designers have of creating reality and influencing the future, I am passionate about solving functional challenges through simplistic, memorable and insightful design.
Aside from design, I am an avid traveller and explorer (keep up with my travels here!), and I am also a strong advocate of the Third Wave Coffee movement. I have a love for artisanal cafes, baking, and bubble tea. I spend my time practicing yoga, painting, or photographing sunsets.
